traceroute Fails with -F (do not fragment bit) Argument

With traceroute-1.4a12-XX  the -F argument is used to avoid intra-switch fragmentation. From traceroute(8) manpage:

       ...
       -F     Set the "don’t fragment" bit.
       ...
